Origin Story: Kenya
We’ve been fans of the Gachatha Factory for years now, and plan to expand our offerings from Kenya in the coming harvests. There seems to be a disconnect with coffee from Kenya, as coffee buyers hold them in extremely high regard, but for whatever reason that regard isn’t maintained throughout the chain. Our hope is that incredible coffees like this one will garner more appreciation for coffees from Kenya.

This is a super approachable coffee, it’s an elevated version of what our parents are accustomed to. We get the sweetness of toffee, a hint of comforting toast (from the volcanic soil), and a finish of chocolate.

Origin Story: Ethiopia Wine
This Gesha-region farm may not have the fame of Yirgacheffe or Guji, but it produces some of Ethiopia’s most prized varieties, including Gesha 1931 and its sibling, Gori Gesha, one of the oldest known coffee types originating from the nearby Gori Gesha Forest.
The farm maintains close control over picking and processing, producing everything from anaerobic and carbonic maceration to classic naturals. This lot is a sister to their Carbonic Maceration release, sharing a 92-hour fermentation but without added CO2. It was also picked from cherries with unusually higher sugar levels (22 compared to the typical 18).
This is one of the most distinctive coffees we have been able to bring in, complex, dynamic, and unforgettable. Part of its beauty is that it won’t be here for long and there’s no guarantee it will be back.

I have tried many, but Kloo coffee concentrates are the best. The new wine craft coffee concentrate is a new flavor that I love to try in my vanilla protein drinks (a real nice adaptation for nutritional supplement drinks on the go). And the flavor is divine.

FAQs
What is a coffee concentrate?
The way we brew coffee makes it super concentrated (12x more concentrated, to be precise). That means you only need to mix a small pour of our concentrate with water to make the perfect cup of coffee. It's fast, easy, and versatile. Enjoy Kloo hot, iced, black, milky, in martinis, desserts, and more. For recipes of various drinks and desserts using Kloo, check out our Recipes page.
What is a Q grader?
A Q Grader is like a master coffee sommelier, passing over 20 advanced tests of knowledge, smell, and taste to become certified to grade coffee bean quality. There are only a few hundred Q Graders in the U.S. Our co-founder (and Q Grader), Mariella, prepares every bean and bottle with meticulous attention.
How do you make a cup of coffee with Craft Coffee Concentrate?
1. Fill your cup with 7oz of hot or iced water (or milk).
2. Then, add a shot of Craft Coffee Concentrate from our jigger (0.75oz).
3. Give it a good stir, add milk and sugar if you like, and enjoy!
P.S. Using a bigger cup or like it stronger? Flip the jigger over for a double.
Why is Kloo delivered refrigerated?
Kloo's Craft Coffee Concentrate is shipped with ice packs and intended to be refrigerated upon receipt to ensure best flavor. We recommend this because our product uses NO preservatives or additives of any kind, and, similar to wine, at warmer temperatures coffee's flavor can start to change, so chilling our coffee preserves the best flavor (which is what you deserve).
About those ice packs: they're usually soft, and sometimes room temperature, by the time the box reaches you. That's expected, and it isn't a sign anything went wrong. They do their work during the warmest stretch of the trip and thaw slowly on the way, which is the whole point. Your Kloo is safe and will be delicious tomorrow morning.
Move the bottles to the fridge when you get a chance. Refrigeration within a day or so of receipt is completely fine.
How should I store Kloo?
Keep Kloo in the fridge for best flavor (cold temperature prevents oxidation). As time goes on, natural sediment may form. Kloo is best consumed within 3 months of brew date (or within 3 weeks of opening).
Don't worry if you don't put Kloo in the fridge right away. It's safe to drink and even won't have a huge impact on flavor for up to 3 days at room temperature.
What is Craft Coffee Concentrate's shelf life?
Kloo's concentrate is best store in the fridge and best consumed within 3 months of brew date (or within 3 weeks of opening). Thanks to our proprietary brewing method, our concentrate keeps in the fridge much longer than a typical coffee concentrate or even beans.

Can I recycle your packaging?
Yes, you can! All of our packaging is reusable, recyclable, or biodegradable to support a greener future. Fun fact: our insulating box liner is made out of corn!
How do you source your beans?
We only use the highest grade beans. All of our beans are sourced via direct trade, which helps farmers negotiate their prices directly, without intermediaries. Once sourced, we then roast and hand-brew in-house in our facility in Los Angeles.
